La espera fue larga en el marco de una campa\u00f1a en la que el oficialismo apostaba a darla vueltay la oposici\u00f3n a lograr un triunfo contundente. No se logr\u00f3 dar vuelta ni se mantuvo la amplia diferencia de las primarias. Si bien en los medios y redes, Juntos por el Cambio (JxC) y el Frente de Todos (FdT) hicieron eje en su candidato a Presidente y Gobernadores, los Intendentes de los municipios del Conurbano Bonaerense pasaron a tener un rol fundamental en sus territorios al apoyar, con mayor o menor intensidad, a sus candidatos. En este sentido, desde las PASO existi\u00f3 una mayor autonom\u00eda en las estrategias de los intendentes.
